Ride a Leg of the Trip

If you are a bike rider(s), scroll down to the  INDIVIDUAL RIDER(S) section. If you are part of a group such as a Scout troop, school group, church group, etc., then scroll down to GROUP RIDERS section.

INDIVIDUAL RIDER(S)

If you are an individual rider(s) that is interested in riding a portion of the cross country bicycle ride with us, we would love to have to come join us. The first thing to do is check on the Bicycle Route/Map to see if and when we are in your area (The map is not perfectly accurate but gives a general idea of the route). Next, look on the Bicycle Ride Calendar to get more specifics (We ride almost every day all summer, except Sundays). If the location and time looks good for you then continue reading. If you want to ride more than one day with us then all the better.

The whole mission of this cross-country ride is to raise money for Shriners Hospitals for Children. If you want to ride a day with us then please donate $20 (obviously more if you like) to Shriners Hospitals for Children (you can do that on the home page or with cash/check in person).

RULES:
-You are responsible for your own needs such as food, water, etc. If you are spending the night you need to bring your own supplies (sleeping bag, tent, etc). If you don't want to carry your stuff then we can probably fit it in the van.
-Sorry but we are on a schedule so if you are an inexperienced rider that can't keep up we will have to leave you in the dust (we won't be going real fast, just a steady good pace usually 45-65 miles a day).
-Anyone under the age of 18 must have parents/guardians writing permission.
-Anyone, while riding with us, must refrain from any activity that would be seen as a bad example to us and to those that follow this blog (no inappropriate language, no alcohol, nothing illegal, etc.)
-We are not held liable for any injury or losses.

I have found that anyone with a little riding experience is not a problem but rather makes the ride much more enjoyable, and it is fun swapping stories and talking about each other's experiences.

If everything still looks good for you to come ride with us then get in touch with me (Willard) to let me know the details so we can plan it out. It will be fun!

Depending on the type of group that you have we will give a presentation before or after the ride. It can be on just about any topic from good health habits to life lessons or a more religious topic for church groups. I have given various types of presentations all over the county and I love doing it. For Scout troops I am a cycling merit badge counselor also.

The whole mission of this cross-country ride is to raise money for Shriners Hospitals for Children. If you want to ride a day with us then please donate *$10 a person (obviously more if you like) to Shriners Hospitals for Children (you can do that on the home page or with cash/check in person).

*Groups of ten or more, or any Boy Scout / Scout Leader get a special rate of $5 a person
